NFL-National Football League roundup

Aug 11 (The Sports Xchange) - Former NFL standout Andre Rison plans to turn himself in after a federal judge issued an arrest warrant for a probation violation in his child support case, the Detroit Free Press reported Thursday. The former Michigan State star pleaded guilty in Arizona in 2012 to two counts of failure to pay child support. He was ordered to pay approximately $323,000. Authorities claim the 49-year-old Rison has been delinquent in his payments and has paid less than $35,000. Rison was a five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver during a 12-year career spent with seven NFL teams. - - - The Seattle Seahawks and Texas A&M have reached a new five-year licensing deal regarding the use of "12th Man," a term trademarked by the Aggies. The latest pact prohibits the Seahawks from using "12th Man" on their Ring of Honor or on social-media accounts. Texas A&M trademarked the phrase in 1990. - - - Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones admitted that his ego played a role in ending the team's dominance after back-to-back Super Bowl victories in 1992 and 1993. Jones told KTCK-AM 1030 that he should have given then-coach Jimmy Johnson a bit more freedom before replacing him with Barry Switzer. "I lost my tolerance for a lot of things," Jones told the radio station. "I probably should have had a little more tolerance with Jimmy Johnson. Seriously." - - - The Indianapolis Colts signed running back Chase Price and linebacker Anthony Sarao. - - - The Buffalo Bills waived linebacker Kevin Reddick from injured reserve with a settlement. Reddick has been sidelined by a knee injury, and the Bills initially put him on waivers with the injured designation last weekend. (Editing by Andrew Both)
