Marc-Andre Fleury's daughter pens incredibly cute letter to dad after Game 2 loss

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Marc-André Fleury has carried his team through the postseason with some Conn Smythe Trophy-deserving performances, and he’s receiving all the support he can from an adorable source.

After a 3-2 overtime loss in Game 2 of the second round versus the Colorado Avalanche, Fleury was left a note by his five-year-old daughter, Scarlett, that just warms even the coldest of hearts.

Originally posted on Fleury’s wife Veronique’s Instagram, this touching letter is certainly a reason to feel guilty for enjoying the Avalanche stomping through their divisional playoffs.

After Vegas’ first round against the Minnesota Wild was stretched to seven games, Knights head coach Pete DeBoer went with Fleury’s tandem partner Robin Lehner for Game 1. They faced an onslaught of offense in a 7-1 loss in Colorado, further proving who should be in between the pipes. On Wednesday night, they were at least able to extend Game 2 beyond regulation, but fell victim to a Mikko Rantanen game-winning rip just a couple minutes into the extra frame.

Down 2-0 to the Stanley Cup favourites, I’m sure Fleury will need all the fatherly inspiration he can get. Through eight appearances this postseason, the 36-year-old netminder has earned a .924 save percentage and a 1.86 goals against average.
