Is Beau Bennett, Nostradamus?

On Tuesday, the former St. Louis Blues winger posted to Twitter a text conversation he had with current defenseman Robert Bortuzzo prior to Monday night's Western Conference Finals Game 2 against the San Jose Sharks.

"Bro I have a feeling you are gonna get in these next games and score a huge goal," Bennett texted Bortuzzo. "Like massive."

He added following a response, "Bro it's inevitable if we both feel it."

It was a bold statement to make considering Bortuzzo, who also played with Bennett in Pittsburgh, had only two goals during the regular season, 14 in his regular-season career and had never netted a goal in the postseason.

Well, with the game tied at 2 and the Blues needing a victory to even the series, Bortuzzo skated in from the point and scored a beauty of a game-winning goal — topshelf and on the backhand.

Bennett texted Bortuzzo after the game, "Bro, not only are we mint but I'm pretty sure we can see the future."

When the text exchange began is unknown, but Bortuzzo played in Games 1 and 2 against the Sharks after missing Games 5-7 of the Dallas Stars series as a healthy scratch.
