Blackhawks 7, Capitals 1

Jonathan Toews finished with one goal and two assists as Chicago snapped an eight-game losing streak with a blowout victory over Washington.

The Blackhawks went 0-7-1 during their skid. They last won on Jan. 30 vs. Nashville but Chicago's offense dominated this game, outshooting Washington 44-20.

Patrick Kane added a goal and an assist, the 500th of his NHL career. Ryan Hartman and Brandon Saad also had a goal and an assist.

Kings 4, Sabres 2

Michael Amadio and Anze Kopitar scored two goals each as Los Angeles snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over Buffalo at KeyBank Center.

Jonathan Quick made 33 saves for L.A., which notched its second win of a seven-game road trip that ends with a back-to-back Monday in Chicago and Tuesday in Winnipeg. The Kings tied Anaheim for fourth place in the Pacific Division, just a point behind Calgary and Minnesota for the final Western Conference playoff spot.

Los Angeles came out of the gate flying, outshooting the Sabres 19-8 in the first period. Goalie Robin Lehner kept Buffalo in contention with 18 stops in the period, but Amadio beat him at 11:26 for his third goal. He took a pass from Andy Andreoff and shoveled a wrister from the right circle that trickled through Lehner's pads.

Senators 6, Rangers 3

Derick Brassard recorded a goal and two assists as Ottawa beat New York at Canadian Tire Centre.

Brassard had the primary assists on Mark Stone's goal in the first period and Thomas Chabot's tally in the third. The former Ranger center tallied for the fourth straight game late in the second period.

Miles Wood's goal at 1:24 of the third period gave New Jersey a victory over Tampa Bay at Amalie Arena.

Wood's 16th goal of the season gave the Devils an insurmountable 4-2 lead. He one-timed Stefan Noesen's pass from behind the net before Tampa Bay goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy could react.

Devils goaltender Eddie Lack stopped 48 of 51 shots for only his second win in the NHL this season. Lack appeared in just his sixth game with the Devils after beginning the campaign with Calgary before a trade. He has also spent time in the minors with Calgary and New Jersey's farm teams.

Luke Witkowski scored the first goal of his four-year career, Petr Mrazek made 31 saves and Detroit downed Nashville on the road.

Witkowski, who played his first three seasons with Tampa Bay, was appearing in his 74th career NHL game. He had not recorded a point for the Red Wings in 19 previous outings.

"That was great to see," teammate Gustav Nyquist said of Witkowski's breakthough goal. "I thought he had a great game. He's so strong on the puck."

Nyquist and Darren Helm also scored for the Wings in their road victory. Justin Abdelkader, Anthony Mantha, Nick Jensen, Danny DeKeyser and Frans Nielsen added assists.
