No. 1 Star: Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens

Price stopped all 42 shots he faced as the Canadiens blanked the Vancouver Canucks 3-0. Nathan Beaulieu, Torrey Mitchell and Alex Radulov provided the offense as Price recorded his first shutout of the season and 37th of his career. The win was Montreal’s eighth in a row.

No. 2 Star: Jakub Voracek, Philadelphia Flyers

Voraceck capped off a dramatic Philly comeback by scoring 1:41 into overtime to give the Flyers a 4-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. Mark Streit tied the game with 1:04 left in the third period, then it was Voracek’s time to ends things in the extra period.

No. 3 Star: Matt Murray, Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins netminder had a great season debut stopping 32 shots and allowing just a single goal during a 5-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Five different Penguins scored, including Kris Letang, who finished with two points in his first game since Oct. 18.

Honorable Mention: Montreal remains the only NHL undefeated in regulation … The win marked the fourth time in franchsie history that the Canadiens earned a point in each of their first 10 games … The Flyers have won 12 straight regular season games against Detroit … Roman Lyubimov scored his first NHL goal for the Flyers … Brayden Schenn picked up two assists … Claude Giroux set up Voracek’s winner and extended his point streak to a career-best 10 games … Chris VandeVelde scored his first of the season in pretty fashion one day after his wife gave birth to a baby girl:

Dan Carcillo had some great seats to Game 7 of the World Series, and even captured a dramatic game-tying home run on his phone.

Did You Know? There were three NHL games on Wednesday? What baseball game?

Dishonorable Mention: Vancouver’s power play went 0-for-5 on the evening … The Canucks have scored seven goals and been shut out three times in their last six games … Detroit has dropped three in a row … Will Schenn hear from the DoPS after this awkward hit to the head of Brendan Smith?
