Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed he's keeping a close eye on Celtic standout Nicolas Kuhn.

Hoops winger Kuhn has set tongues wagging across Europe after an explosive start to the campaign which has seen him notch 10 goals and 11 assists in just 17 appearances. Poached from Rapid Vienna for a bargain £3million last January, the 24-year-old's stock has soared, with English Premier League duo Brentford and Fulham monitoring his progress.

Brendan Rodgers would be extremely reluctant to part ways with his in-form star after just 12 months and a record-breaking fee eclipsing Matt O'Riley's £30m switch to Brighton would likely be required for Celts to even consider cashing in. Kuhn downed former club RB Leipzig with a deadly double and man of the match showing earlier this month and his Champions League exploits could earn him a dream call-up for his country.

Boss Nagelsmann was quizzed on Kuhn's chances of being selected, with Malick Thiaw and Yann Bisseck also pushing for call-ups. He said: "We are focusing on all German players. Malick has been with the national team before but has been out for quite some time recently.

"I think both he and Bisseck are great players who still need to improve on some things. Kühn is also a good player with a lot of desire. He’s someone we’re keeping an eye on. But calling up a new player always means excluding another."
