Self-proclaimed superstar Nicklas Bendtner has never been short of self-confidence/importance, prompting fans to bestow him the ironic nickname of 'Lord Bendtner'.
No questions were ever asked, that's just what was formed and everyone rolled with it
29-year-old Bendtner now plies his trade with Norwegian side Rosenborg where a very awkward thing has occurred.
According to bt.dk, the moniker of 'Lord' as already been taken.
Mushaga Bakenga, another striker, is known in the dressing room as 'Lord Bakenga' - but what of poor Nicklas?
Fear not everybody, for the Great Dane can take solace from the fact that he has been given arguably an even better name that was previously gifted to him by fans - 'Emperor Bendtner - the Emperor of Trondheim'.
Apparently there isn't room enough for two Lords in the dressing room, and Bakenga had made sure to take the nickname before Bendtner's arrival.
The former Arsenal and Birmingham striker has said of his old nickname that he found it funny, but that it wasn't anything special to him and on his new identity, he told Nettvisen: "The Emperor is a nice title. I am comfortable with that."
All hail, Emperor Bendtner!
