Birmingham have not received any contact from rival clubs interested in highly-rated teenager Nathan Redmond.
The 17-year-old winger has been touted as a rising star at St Andrew's over recent years and has finally broken into the first-team reckoning this season, underlining his potential during the club's Europa League adventure with memorable performances namely against CD Nacional and NK Maribor.
Naturally, that has led to speculation of a big-money move to one of several top-flight clubs believed to be interested in his services but manager Chris Hughton told City's official website: "We have not had any approaches. As with any young player like that there's always speculation, but 99 per cent of speculation is simply untrue."
Hughton added: "There's absolutely no doubt the best place for him at this moment is Birmingham City Football Club.
"Any speculation is just that and I think it will continue to be that way. The plus side is that he's a young player and he wouldn't be getting that speculation unless he was doing something right."
Meanwhile, Birmingham FA Cup's third-round replay with Wolves has been selected for live coverage on terrestrial television and has therefore been moved back 24 hours to Wednesday January 18.
