Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino says the only way to win a football match the ball at the back of the net and his team failed to do that in their 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Suprisingly Nottingham Forest had not won away at Chelsea in 28 years but substitute Antony Elanga’s finish enough condem Chelsea to their second defeat in four games.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino said: “That is a process that you need to think a little bit about to give time. I think today we create chances, we dominate the game but we were not clinical enough in the last third.

“We should score, if you want to win and we made on mistake and concede. Not frustrated but disappointed because in this process you need luck. I don’t want to take credit from Nottingham Forest. We were not clinical in both areas.”

The home fans booed the team off the pitch after the game and Pochettino who admits he heard says fans wants to win so he can understand their frustration.

He added: “You can understand the people that came from the past and want to see the team to win and play well. We are not playing fantastic but I think the performance is not bad. The fans want to win and we need to give the possibility for them to be happy. I understand we are in Chelsea and you should win every single game.”

The Blues have now picked up just four points from a possible 12 and sit 11 th in the Premier League table.
