A total of 53,860 spectators attended a fixture during Super League round 10.
That’s an average attendance of 8,876 across the six fixtures, an increase of 1,103 compared to the previous round.
Leeds enjoy highest attendance
Leeds Rhinos recorded an attendance of 11,167 on Friday night for their clash with Toulouse. The Headingley Stadium side claimed a vital 25-12 victory over the bottom placed side. It is the club’s second victory so far in the 2022 Super League season, with five points on the table.
Wigan’s home match with Salford on Sunday saw a crowd of 10,783 at the DW Stadium. Full-back Jai Field scored a late length-of-the-field try to claim a 30-24 victory in front of the home supporters. Matt Peet’s side now sit second in the table, on joint points with St Helens at the top with 16.
Hull saw the third highest attendance on Sunday at the MKM Stadium. 9,101 supporters saw Brett Hodgson’s side jump to fourth in the table with a 14-8 triumph over Catalans.
7,649 attended the Mend-A-Hose Jungle for Castleford’s clash with St Helens. The Tigers claimed a 30-10 victory over a youthful Saints side, with several youngsters making their first team debuts.
Warrington saw an attendance of 8,102 for their fixture with Huddersfield on Saturday. The home side enjoyed Warrington’s fifth win of the season, with a 32-10 victory at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Craven Park recorded an attendance of 7,058 on Saturday afternoon. Hull KR claimed a 32-10 victory over Wakefield. It was Tony Smiths side sixth consecutive win.
Leeds have seen an average attendance of 12,146 so far in 2022 with six home Super League games. St Helens lead the way with an average of 14,391, with just four home matches at the Totally Wicked Stadium so far.
The highest attendance of the season so far came on Good Friday between St Helens and Wigan, with 17,980.
A total of 513,673 supports have attended a top flight game of rugby league in 2022.
