Obaje praises rejuvenated FC IfeanyiUbah

The striker has bagged nine goals for the Anambra Warriors this term, and is hoping to be among the players that make Nigeria squad

Godwin Obaje admits that a run of five games without defeat has seen confidence return to FC IfeanyiUbah.

The Anambra Warriors found themselves in the relegation zone after a disappointing start to the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League campaign.

However, after staying unbeaten for five fixtures, Obaje has revealed that the dressing room is "buzzing".

"As a squad, we were very disappointed with the start that we created for ourselves. It was all down to our own mistakes, it wasn't teams dominating us or taking over in games," Obaje told Goal.

"Now, these last five games we're unbeaten and the confidence is coming back in to the lads and in the dressing room, you can see that when you've picked up three points, you're absolutely buzzing.

"The lads are kicking on and fingers crossed that we can hopefully carry on that unbeaten run at the midweek," he added.

"We should hopefully continue the good run against Shooting Stars in our next league game."

In their next topflight fixture, FC IfeanyiUbah host Shooting Stars April 19.
