Abia Warriors' Moses Ocheje has confirmed to Goal that he is close to completing a move to Lobi Stars.

Ocheje arrived Makurdi on Saturday morning to finalise talks with the Pride of Benue and possibly seal a deal by Monday.

“The deal isn’t confirmed yet but I just arrived Makurdi on Saturday morning to meet with Lobi Stars with a move to seal a deal,” Ocheje told Goal.

“Discussions have been ongoing but it’s important to reveal why I am in Makurdi and I hope that talks will go on smoothly with Lobi Stars. Hopefully by Monday a formal statement will be made but for now it’s more about discussions. I am optimistic that things will work out fine.

Ocheje’s continental experience will come in handy for Lobi Stars as they are eyeing a slot for the continent's competition.

He played eight matches for Sunshine Stars in their Caf Champions League run in 2012. And he was part of the Enyimba squad that played against Egyptian clubs, Smouha and Zamalek in the same competition last year.
