Ogogo wins in Turkey

Fit-again middleweight Anthony Ogogo is just two wins from securing his place on Team GB's Olympic boxing squad - and he has a revenge mission in his sights.

Ogogo is free from the shoulder injury that hampered his 2011 season and confidently beat Macedonia's Fatlum Zuta 18-5 at the European Olympic qualifiers in Turkey.

He now faces Georgia's Jaba Khositashvili, who beat Lithuanian world number seven Vladimir Milevskis, and edged past an injured Ogogo by a single point at last year's European Championship.

If successful in his last eight encounter, the Commonwealth Games silver medallist will face either Estonian Kaupo Arro or Belarussian Vitali Bandarenka in Friday's semi-final, with a win securing the Olympic qualifying standard.

Heavyweight Warren Baister will take on France's Aboulaye Diane later today, knowing he needs four wins - and a victory in the entire competition - to qualify for this summer's Games.

Light flyweight Charlie Edwards, who has to make the semi-finals in Trabzon, is the last of the seven-strong British contingent to start his qualifying campaign.

After receiving a first round bye, he fights Bulgaria's Aleksander Aleksandrov, a confident points winner over Israel's David Albrdian, in the last 16 on Tuesday.
