Jamie O'Hara has been ruled out until 2013

Wolves have been dealt an injury blow with the news that Jamie O'Hara will miss the rest of 2012 with his hernia problem.

O'Hara was only supposed to be absent for eight weeks when the persistent injury flared up again in August.

But after several setbacks, every precaution is being taken with his rehabilitation and the midfielder will only return when he has made a full recovery.

"Jamie was outside running [on Monday]. He can run straight forward but he's not changing direction or kicking balls," Wanderers boss Stale Solbakken told the Express & Star.

"He's working hard but he's probably many weeks away. It will probably be after Christmas when we see him [playing again].

"The most important thing is he saves his career and can play football. It's not important if it's January 1 or March 1 when he plays, but that he can play.

"If you've had three operations and been out for so long, it's starting to get serious.

"It's important he puts his health and future first. He and the medical staff must be totally in control of this."

O'Hara, 26, last played in a 2-0 defeat against Blackburn on March 10 following a second operation in December.
