Vancouver Canucks bench boss Bruce Boudreau believes “an awful lot of blind people” were involved in ranking the NHL's best looking head coaches.

He doesn't know how he ended up in 16th place, and was stunned further when he found out that Edmonton Oilers’ Jay Woodcroft was named the most attractive in the league, and that Peter Laviolette of the Washington Capitals was ranked last.

“Not who I thought,” Boudreau replied when asked about the rankings on Tuesday.

Gambling.com, the website that released the polarizing list, purportedly ran each coach's NHL.com head shot through the beauty measurement app Golden Ratio Face before putting together the polarizing, and pretty hilarious, rankings. The free app uses facial symmetry, facial structure and the so-called "golden ratio" — a measure of physical perfection according to ancient Greeks — to calculate how beautiful people are, assigning them a score out of 10.

Woodcroft topped the list with a score of 9.18 out of 10, while the top five was rounded out by Darryl Sutter of the Calgary Flames (8.9), Derek Lalonde of the Detroit Red Wings (8.6), Preds coach John Hynes (8.65) and Paul Maurice of the Florida Panthers (8.62).

Laviolette scored the lowest league-wide with a 6.04.

Though Sutter lost out to Woodcroft for No. 1 overall, he did land in the top spot for most attractive coaches over 60. The Flames’ head coach is 64 and ranked ahead of new Winnipeg Jets bench boss Rick Bowness, Philadelphia Flyers’ new coach John Tortorella, Boudreau in Vancouver, and Lindy Ruff of the New Jersey Devils.

Overall, the best looking head coaches are manning the benches of the Pacific division, according to the list.

As fun as this list is, it's not hard to believe that a ranking by the NHL's fanbase would provide slightly different results.
