Oleksandr Zinchenko makes cheeky Ben White quip as Arsenal star continues injury recovery

Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has taken to Instagram to take a cheeky swipe at teammate Ben White as he continues his recovery from injury. The England international has had to undergo surgery after suffering a knee injury earlier this season.

White has missed a handful of games throughout the season with his fitness not being 100%. The Arsenal medical staff had to make the tough decision to recommend knee surgery.

Mikel Arteta had stated that he expects White to be out for 'months.' This will be yet another big blow to the Arsenal squad who have suffered injuries throughout the season. The likes of Martin Odegaard and Takehiro Tomiyasu have both missed games, with the Japanese international expected back in December.

Many fans feel that Zinchenko has largely underachieved this season for the Gunners. The Ukrainian has fallen down the pecking order with newcomers like Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber taking his spot. Despite White and Zinchenko experiencing different seasons, the pair clearly get along with the Ukrainian joking about his fellow defender's dress sense on social media.

The 27-year-old shared a photo of White on his Instagram story with the caption: "And who are you this morning?" The ex-Brighton player had come into the training centre with a puffer jacket on with sliders.

Zinchenko labelled the top half of White's outfit 'Winter' and the bottom half 'Summer,' poking fun at his chosen attire.

The defending duo haven't always seen eye to eye. Last season, in a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest, the two had to be forcefully separated after full-time. They were reportedly arguing over the late goal that they conceded.

Arteta had made a sketchy joke following the altercation saying: "They've been in the same house for the last three days sharing wives and everything. That's fine. They're living together now they are best mates."

He the continued to say: "You don't argue with somebody that you don't have a great relationship with, you know. That happens because you have the trust and you have the chemistry with somebody to react the way you did."
