Wenger has been offered a two-year contract by the Arsenal board and told Standard Sport on Saturday – after a 3-1 defeat at West Brom – that he had made a decision on his future.
Giroud has consistently made clear his desire for Wenger to extend his deal, saying earlier this month that the whole squad was “100 per cent” behind their manager.
He restated his desire for Wenger to extend his contract in an interview with Infosport+ today, saying: “We want to see Arsene Wenger sign an extension. To continue the adventure, because we support him.
“We hope to win the cup and qualify for the Champions League.”
Arsenal are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and will take on Manchester City at Wembley next month whilst they sit in sixth place in the Premier League, six points off Liverpool in fourth but with two games in hand.
