Martin Olsson wants to leave Blackburn

Sweden international Martin Olsson does not intend to play in the npower Championship with Blackburn and has issued a transfer request, according to his agent.

Full-back Olsson featured in all three of Sweden's matches at Euro 2012 and despite his twin brother Marcus also being on Rovers' books, he is keen to force a move away from Ewood Park.

Olsson is represented by former Rovers striker Martin Dahlin, who spent two injury-hit years in Lancashire during the late 1990s.

Dahlin told Swedish website fotbollskanalen.se: "It is true that Martin has submitted a transfer request, of course, he would not play in the Championship."
