One arrested and CCTV images released after man slashed in shoulder

Police are looking for the man in the CCTV images after a man was slashed in the street.

Police in Chorley were called to Chapel Street at around 7.15pm on Monday (May 29) to deal with an incident of disorder.

A man had suffered a slash injury to his shoulder and was treated at the scene.

A 47-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of affray but police are now looking to speak with the man in the CCTV images.

A spokesperson for the police said: "We want to speak to him in connection with disorder which happened in Chapel Street, Chorley at around 7.15pm on Monday (May 29).

"A man suffered a slash injury to his shoulder and was treated at the scene.

"Following enquiries, a 47-year-old man from Chorley has been arrested on suspicion of affray.

"We now need to identify and speak to the male in the CCTV stills as part of our enquiries.

"We have a dedicated team of detectives assigned to this case and reassurance patrols have been increased in the area."
