There is ego and some words are shared but mostly in good spirits: Jos Buttler

When Ollie Robinson came in to bat during England’s second innings, Kohli was constantly behind him and also was seen saying something to the all-rounder. In the middle, Buttler was also seen chatting with Kohli where the Indian skipper wasn’t happy with something.

Buttler said these chatters and banters become a part of the game and there are words exchanged but England are focused to make a comeback in the series. Buttler also said the Indian team is filled with experienced players and the same team is seen for the last three years.

“At times it becomes a part of the game. It’s interesting to watch as a viewer. It boils down to 22 competitive guys in the field trying to win for their country. At times, there is ego and some words are shared but mostly in good spirits. As a side, we are very focused on what we have to do to get back in the series,” Buttler mentioned.

“The most notable difference in the Indian team is the experience. This is a side that’s been together for three years. It’s the similar group and same names. They are a confident team with lots of international games and success behind them,” he added.

India and England will play the third Test at Headingley, Leeds on Wednesday.
