Oostende picked up a third straight victory in the FIBA Champions League thanks to a surprise 77-76 win over Group D leaders Virtus Bologna on Wednesday.
Having gone 7-0 to start the campaign, Bologna have now lost each of their last two while the home side’s improved run of form has seen them climb back into play-off contention.
Nemanja Djurisic top-scored with 19 points for Oostende, while TJ Williams contributed 14 and Elias Lasisi had 11 of his own.
Kevin Punter racked up 16 for Bologna but his efforts proved to be in a losing cause. They still remain top, however, sitting a point clear of Strasbourg - 84-76 winners at Bayreuth - and Promitheas Patras.
In Group C, AEK made it eight straight wins thanks to an 80-76 triumph over CEZ Nymburk, while Brose Bamberg prevailed 101-97 at JDA Dijon.
Elsewhere, UCAM Murcia defeated Ventspils 67-61, Fribourg Olympic edged out Opava 77-76 and Sidigas Avellino saw off MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg 82-76.
