'Would be over' - Roy Keane warns Liverpool of real Man City 'test' in title race verdict
Roy Keane has given his verdict on Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League title. The Reds moved eight points clear at the top of the table after beating Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
Mohamed Salah scored a brace supported by a goal from Dominik Szoboszlai to secure a 3-2 win for Liverpool at St Mary's. The victory for the Reds came almost 24 hours after Manchester City lost 4-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
Salah's brace saw the Egyptian take his goal tally up to 12 in all competitions this season and 10 in the Premier League. The 32-year-old went on to speak honestly about his future at Anfield following the clash on the south coast, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

The weekend's results leave Liverpool with an eight point lead over Man City at the top of the Premier League, as well as nine ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Brighton. Next week will see the Reds host City at Anfield in a game that could be decisive in the Premier League title race.
Keane was part of Sky Sports' coverage of Super Sunday and assessed Liverpool's chances of winning the title. The Manchester United legend explained why next weekend's clash against Man City could already decide where the Premier League trophy will be heading this season - and the expectation heading into the game could prove to be the real test for Arne Slot's squad.
"Eight points clear. I bet they [Liverpool] can't believe it," Keane told Sky Sports.
"Liverpool have been excellent and have every chance of winning this title. If they turn up at their very best, with the fans behind them, and beat [Man] City - what a statement it would be.
"It would be over for them [City] next week if they lose to Liverpool.
"It's a big test to deal with that expectation. Can City bounce back next week?"
