Paul Pogba ruled out of Manchester United's clash with Liverpool
Paul Pogba is out of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday with an ankle injury.
The Frenchman hasn’t played for United since the 30th September in the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford due to the problematic ankle.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the 26-year-old has had a setback in his battle for fitness.
Solskjaer told Sky Sports: "Paul had an injury, he came back, he worked really hard. He came back and played a couple of games, maybe played through the pain barrier.
"He had a scan after the Arsenal game and maybe needed a few weeks' rest in a boot so hopefully he won't be too long, but he won't make this game, no."

United’s injury list is growing, with news that goalkeeper David De Gea could also miss the crunch match with Jurgen Klopp’s side. De Gea was substituted with a groin problem sustained during Spain’s 1-1 draw with Sweden while the 28-year-old was on international duty this week.
Solskjaer continued: "I think he'll be out. It certainly looked like it anyway judging on last night so it's just one of those things."
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial could both make a return from their respective spells on the sideline. Victor Lindelof also played 90 minutes for Sweden in midweek after missing United’s defeat to Newcastle last time out in the Premier League.
Jesse Lingard, Mason Greenwood and Luke Shaw also look doubtful for the visit of Liverpool.
Manchester United sit two points above the drop zone ahead of the weekend’s action and haven’t won any of their last three games in all competitions. Liverpool are top of the Premier League and have won all of their opening eight league games.
