Paul Scholes reveals Arne Slot's reaction to Trent Alexander-Arnold that TV cameras missed
Paul Scholes has claimed that Arne Slot was shaking his head whenever Trent Alexander-Arnold attempted a long ball during Liverpool's win at Manchester United.
The right-back has received plenty of plaudits during the international break after being handed the Player of the Match award in both of England's matches, against Ireland and Finland.
However, although he has been part of a Liverpool team that has started the season with three wins from three games in the Premier League, there have been suggestions that Slot is yet to be fully won over by the right-back.
TV cameras captured Slot and a clearly disgruntled Alexander-Arnold deep in discussion in the Anfield dug-out after he was taken off during the win against Brentford last month, and Scholes has now questioned whether the Dutchman is a fan of the England star.

Scholes, who was near the Old Trafford dug-out as he conducted his media duties during Liverpool's win over United prior to the international break, asked Jamie Carragher on a new episode of the Stick to Football podcast brought to you by Sky Bet: "Do you think Slot likes him? Because watching that game, every time he gave the ball away, he (Slot) is shaking his head, he kept looking around and turning around to his bench...
"I was down there and every time that he (Alexander-Arnold) was trying his long balls that he can do brilliantly... he (Slot) kept shaking his head and turning around. And I thought, 'I'm not sure he likes him'."
Carragher responded to suggest that Slot would prefer his players to build up with short passes rather than spring counter-attacks with long balls. The former Liverpool defender said: "I think the way Slot wants the players... he doesn't want that long ball as much. It'll be interesting going forward."
