PDC World Championship odds as Chris Dobey's chances of upsetting Littler and Humphries rated
Chris Dobey will get his PDC World Championship bid under way against either Stephen Burton or Alexander Merkx next weekend as the showpiece tournament kicks in to gear.
All eyes will be on whether Luke Littler can maintain his stunning form to take darts' top title, or whether current No 1 and reigning champion Luke Humphries can hold on to his crown They are both in the same half of the draw, so expect semi-final fireworks.
Bedlington-born Dobey will fancy his chances, however, and the bookies rank him as an outside chance to upset the applecart. Littler is the strong favourite at 7/4, with Humprhies at 3/1, but Dobey's odds of 33/1 suggest he's in with a chance.

He's priced at 16/1 to make it to the final with Betfair, who have Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen as the main challengers to the two Lukes. Littler knows he has become a role model, with all the focus on the remarkable 17-year-old.
"Ever since the final everyone has seen a young lad doing well so they have gone and bought their kids everything to try and be me," he told the PA news agency. "It's good because darts was big but, I don't want to say it, since I've come along it's got even bigger, seeing a young lad coming through. Hopefully we can have more come through."
