Pedro Pascal says Game of Thrones fans gave him an eye infection
Game of Thrones' Pedro Pascal has revealed how some of the show's more eager fans led to him getting an eye infection.
The Last of Us and The Mandalorian actor played Prince Oberyn Martell in the HBO fantasy juggernaut, until the character met one of Westeros' most grisly ends when Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane gouged his eyes out and crushed his skull.
In a recent roundtable discussion with some other big name actors for The Hollywood Reporter, Pascal stated that: "I remember, early on, because of Game of Thrones and the way my character died, people were super into taking selfies with their thumbs in my eyes.

"At first, I was so earnest and happy about the success of the character in the show, I'd let them! In New York! Of all places. And then I remember getting a bit of an eye infection."
The comments were part of a conversation about fandom and boundaries, and when Pascal admitted that he used to let his fans do that, Succession star Kieran Culkin expressed surprise at the amount of trust his fellow actor was putting in people.
Following on from his stint in Thrones, Pascal has become one of the most in-demand actors around. Apart from fronting the aforementioned video game adaptation and Star Wars spin-off, he's appeared in Wonder Woman 1984 and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
