Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is planning a summer transfer raid of Tottenham Hotspur as he looks to bring an English core to the Etihad, according to reports.
The Manchester Evening News says Guardiola has singled out Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Dele Alli as targets for when the transfer window reopens on July 1.
Guardiola is keen to improve in the full-back positions, with Rose and Walker, while Alli’s skill has drawn interest across Europe.
The report says the former Barcelona boss has told City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, that home-grown talent will be a target for the summer.
Alli, Rose and Walker are, however, in a title race with Chelsea, which beat Manchester City 2-1 on Wednesday night to retain its seven point lead at the top of the table.
Manchester City, fourth in the table, hosts Hull City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
