Pep Guardiola gives mixed Man City injury updates ahead of Nottingham Forest clash
Pep Guardiola has seen improvement from Kevin De Bruyne but is not expecting John Stones to return soon for Manchester City.
Stones came back from injury to play against Tottenham in the Premier League but only lasted the first half and has not made the squad for matches against Feyenoord and Liverpool. The defender has a problem with his feet that is still causing him issues and he could miss the Champions League trip to Turin as well as upcoming Premier League games with Forest and Crystal Palace.
De Bruyne has come back from an injury that he thought would keep him out for a few days but ended up giving him pain any time he kicked a football for nine weeks, but is still having issues. In four matches since his return, he has not started a game for the Blues and has only managed 20 to 30 minutes off the bench.

"He's closer and better, the last few days," said Guardiola. The manager is focusing on Nottingham Forest as he attempts to shut out the noise around the club and end the winless run that has seen them lose six of their last seven games.
"Think of the next one. It was the same when we won a lot of games. Try to find a good selection. Don't feel sorry for us, i don't feel sorry for myself. It is what it is, I have to accept it."
