Philippe Clement insists he's at Rangers for the long haul as he brushed off speculation linking him with the Anderlecht job.

The Belgian was linked by reports in his homeland with a possible return to take over the club after the sacking Danish coach Brian Riemer last week following a disappointing start to the season.

But Clement, who only recently signed a new deal at Ibrox to keep him in Glasgow, rejected the notion that he might leave the club and made it clear to fans he was committed to the task at hand. He said: "I made it really clear - I have engaged myself for the long term at Rangers last month (when he signed the contract extension). Whatever team comes I’m not going away. I'm really clear, I want this project for the club and to make it really successful for the future.

"We all know we need time for that, we need a few transfer windows to do that and that is what I want to do. I love the city, I love the club, I love the dynamic with the fans at Ibrox so I’m here to stay.”
