Philippe Clement booed by Rangers fans as angry punters protest at Ibrox in wake of Celtic defeat
Philippe Clement and his Rangers team were met with a chorus of boos from a baying crowd of fans outside Ibrox.
An angry group of supporters gathered outside the stadium to vent their disgust after today's 3-0 defeat at Celtic Park. Gers hardly laid a glove on their bitter rivals as the Hoops extended their lead at the top of the table to five points - piling more misery on the Light Blues.
Clement has yet to get the better of Rodgers in FIVE Old Firm games now, drawing only one and shipping 11 goals. And while the Belgian was recently rewarded with a new four-year contract, it seems a section of fans are beginning to crack at the club's lack of progress.
As the Rangers team bus arrived outside the front doors of Ibrox, they were jeered by around 100 fans. Defender Leon Balogun - who came off the bench during the closing stages of the game - fronted up and attempted to calm tensions. But most players including skipper James Tavernier dashed straight inside the ground.
A video also emerged of a small group of fans arguing with Clement as the boss headed towards the car park. The Belgian was filmed in a heated discussion with one fan who let rip over the club's summer transfer business. Clement reacted by attempting to defend his side, saying: "We had four shots on target and they had four shots on target."
However, that didn't go down well as he was booed by a handful of fans, with one dismissing his remarks before Clement eventually left the scene and headed towards his car.
