Photographer Eddie Mitchell sent this newspaper some dramatic aerial shots of flooded fields at Pulborough today (Tuesday, November 14).
Seen from above, the usually grassy areas near the village look more like lakes. According to the Met Office, heavy rain is still expected on Thursday and Saturday, November 16 and 18.

A section of the A303 through Somerset has been forced to close due to flooding after a Met Office weather warning was issued preceding several flood alerts across the county.
At least 11 climbers have been killed and 22 are believed to be missing after a volcano erupted in Indonesia. A rescue official said the bodies were recovered on Mount Marapi on Monday - a day after it started spewing smoke and ash. It happened in Indonesia's West Sumatra province and video showed thick columns of ash reaching up to 3km high, blanketing nearby roads and villages.
Chest-high water surged down the streets of India's southern city Chennai on Tuesday, with eight people killed in intense floods as Cyclone Michaung made landfall on the southeast coast.Police said on Tuesday eight people had been killed in Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu on India's east coast.
The United Nations weather agency is reporting that glaciers shrank more than ever from 2011 and 2020 and the Antarctic ice sheet lost 75 percent more compared to the previous ten years, as it released its latest stark report about the fallout on the planet from climate change. The World Meteorological Organization served up more evidence of what scientists already know – the Earth is heating – on Tuesday, but this time looking at the trend over a longer period with its latest Decadal State of the Climate report. “Each decade since the 1990s has been warmer than the previous one and we see no immediate sign of this trend reversing,” its secretary-general, Petteri Taalas, said.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Pembrokeshire - including Haverfordwest - due to heavy rain and flooding which will be in place on Thursday (December 7).
