Manchester United got to grips with Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok on Monday ahead of facing Liverpool in a pre-season friendly.

Among the new and familiar faces on the pitch in the capital of Thailand were Tyrell Malacia, the first and so far only signing of Erik ten Hag’s tenure at Old Trafford.

The new coach was also seen barking instructions on the pitch having earlier faced the media and signalled his confidence in Cristiano Ronaldo staying at the club.

Assistant Steve McLaren joined Ten Hag in the session having returned to United, once again as a member of the backroom staff.

With Ronaldo absent due to family issues, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were the senior stars on show in front of the thousands of local fans in attendance.

Many asked the United players for autographs as the training session ended.

Raphael Varane sat out the workout due to a knock with Harry Maguire set to play against Liverpool having been confirmed as club captain under Ten Hag.
