Mykhailo Mudryk has trained with Chelsea for the first time since his £88.5m move to Stamford Bridge was completed on Sunday.

The Ukraine international joined from Shakhtar Donetsk despite the pursuit of Arsenal, who were beaten to the winger’s signature by their London rivals.

Mudryk has signed a lengthy eight-and-a-half-year contract with the Blues was paraded in front of supporters during the much-needed win over Crystal Palace.

On Wednesday, Mudryk was put through his paces at Cobham.

Manager Graham Potter is understood to view his new signing’s pace and creativity as the spark his team so desperately need to ignite their season.

Chelsea head into Saturday’s huge game with Liverpool lying tenth in the Premier League table and have won only two of their last six games.

While it remains to be seen as to whether or not Potter throws Mudryk in at the deep end at Anfield, the 22-year-old is in contention to make his debut in at least some capacity.

It is of course worth noting Joao Felix started at Fulham only a day after sealing his loan move from Atletico Madrid, though the Portugal international is now suspended following his red card at Craven Cottage.
