As part of Liverpool's new-look attack, Jurgen Klopp moved quickly to acquire the signature of Fulham midfielder Fabio Carvalho. The 19-year-old came close to joining the Reds in the January transfer window, but Liverpool remained patient and completed the deal this summer for a reported £5million fee. The Portuguese attacking midfielder thrived in the Championship last season, scoring 10 goals and registering eight assists as the Cottagers earned promotion. Having now been announced as a Liverpool player, Carvalho expressed his excitement at the opportunity of playing at Anfield next season.
Incoming Arsenal signing Gabriel Jesus will score more goals than new Tottenham forward Richarlison. Both teams were interested in both players, with Spurs withdrawing their interest in Jesus and Richarlison reportedly opting against joining Arsenal. Richarlison has joined Spurs in a deal worth up to £60million, while Jesus is set to be announced as a £45m Gunners signing.
