Mike Tomlin to talk with JuJu Smith-Schuster about logo dancing
JuJu Smith-Schuster’s pregame dance routine may be coming to an end.
Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that he plans to speak with his star wide receiver about his pregame dances on opponents’ midfield logos — something he continued on Monday night before their 27-17 loss to the Bengals in Cincinnati.
"I am aware of it," Tomlin said, via ESPN. "And I do plan to talk to JuJu. But we're professionals. I doubt any of those antics and things of that nature are legitimate motivating factors as you step into professional stadiums. It's about respect."
Smith-Schuster hit hard after Bengals logo dance
Bengals safety Vonn Bell called out Smith-Schuster’s “disrespectful” dancing ahead of Monday’s matchup, and promised to “go out there and hit him and let him know where he stands.”
Smith-Schuster, however, danced on the logo anyways and posted it to TikTok.

So since the dancing continued, Bell followed through, too.
In the first quarter of the 10-point win, Bell drilled Smith-Schuster so hard after a catch that the ball was sent flying out of his hands — which the Bengals recovered and then scored a touchdown just plays later.
Smith-Schuster finished with three catches for just 15 yards in the loss, with marked Pittsburgh’s third straight, a stunning development after going 11-0.
It’s unclear if Tomlin’s talk with Smith-Schuster will curtail his dancing through the rest of the season. Either way, Tomlin doesn’t think it is related to the losing skid.
"I understand it's about the quality of play inside the white lines," Tomlin said, via ESPN. "I'm not seeking comfort or looking for excuses based on our recent performances on things that occur in pregame or things of that nature that are social media related."
