A CCTV appeal has been launched after a man in his 80s was attacked by two men in a park in Little Lever.

The man was assaulted in Mytham Park at around 2.15pm on Saturday, May 20 by two "unknown males".

He suffered cuts to his face and bruising around an eye.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has now released a picture of two men who they believe "may be able to help with enquiries".

A force spokesperson said: “At around 2.15pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Mytham Park, Little Lever, Bolton, a man in his 80s was assaulted by two unknown males.

“The victim suffered cuts to the face, and bruising around the eye.

“GMP are looking to speak to the men pictured as they may be able to help with enquiries.

“Anyone with information, please contact police on 101 quoting CRI/06KK/0015416/23.

“Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
