Police: 'Good reason to believe' remains belong to UFC fighter Walt Harris' stepdaughter

Authorities have "good reason" to believe that human remains found on a county road are that of UFC fighter Walt Harris' stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard, an Alabama district attorney told The Associated Press on Monday.

"I can confirm that human remains have been found in Macon County on County Road 2 and we have good reason to believe that they are that of Aniah Blanchard," Macon County, Lee County district attorney Brandon Hughes told the AP.

Blanchard, 19, was last seen Oct. 23 in Auburn, prompting a massive search for her. The UFC and many of its fighters helped Harris spread awareness for his stepdaughter missing prior to this somber news. Blanchard's Honda CRV was abandoned 50-plus miles from a building complex in Montgomery, Alabama, according to the AP.

Two people have been arrested in connection to her disappearance.
