A POPULAR chicken brand has found a new home in Glasgow city centre just months after leaving the Southside.

McFly's Chicken, which was previously based on Kilmarnock Road and currently has a weekend base at Dockyard Social, will take over the kitchen at Max's Bar for three months this summer.

We previously reported the eatery had closed in September after a year.

Now it has been announced from Monday, June 19, it will be serving its Pan-Asian style fried chicken alongside new summer cocktails developed by Max's Zach Sapato.

McFly's full food menu will be available for the first time since it left the Southside, including its so soy wings and tuk tuk Thai tenders.

Marisa Capaldi, who is heading up the McFly's team in Glasgow, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be joining Max's Bar to create the food and drink collab Glasgow didn't know it needed.

"We've been inundated with messages from die-hard McFly's fans who were sad to see us leave the Southside, and we couldn't be prouder to open our first city centre restaurant.

"We know that a cold beer or cocktail is the perfect match for our crispy, flavourful chicken - so Max's was a no brainer."

"It's been great working with their team to make our shared vision a reality - great service, great food with a great drink - all under one roof."

Max's Bar is located at 73 Queen Street.
