Portuguese referee to officiate Euro 2012 final

Portugal's Pedro Proenca will take charge of the Euro 2012 final between Spain and Italy in Kiev on Sunday, UEFA said.

Proenca, 41, refereed last month's Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

The financial advisor from Lisbon has taken charge of three matches at the tournament in Poland and Ukraine so far, including England's quarter-final clash against Italy.

So far in the tournament he has shown 10 yellow cards and no reds.
