Postecoglou's transfer priorities, Eze, Chiesa and when Tottenham stars return for pre-season

The summer transfer window is yet to burst into life in the Premier League with the Euros and Copa America slowing down progress for clubs like Tottenham Hotspur.

The financial books close at the end of this month when it comes to the profit and sustainability rules which have already seen clubs docked points and fined, and that is expected to result in a flurry of transfer movement in late June with clubs like Chelsea and Aston Villa already trading between themselves as they seek to remain on the right side of the Premier League's regulations.

Tottenham are in a healthier position in that respect but Ange Postecoglou is seeking further additions to bolster the squad for its return to pre-season training which football.london understands is pencilled in for July 6, with the first team non-internationals come back to Hotspur around that weekend.

Postecoglou has said he wants new arrivals in all departments across the squad, with players like England internationals Eberechi Eze, Ivan Toney and Conor Gallagher all linked with Spurs in recent weeks while at the Euros, and the Australian also has to decide on a new assistant head coach after Chris Davies' departure to Birmingham City for his first managerial role.
