Just three weeks since the last Premier League season - finally - finished, we are already looking forward to the new campaign with the release of the 2020-21 fixture schedule this morning.

Disruptions are set to continue, with fixtures packed in as a result of the delayed start and the small matter of international competitions such as the European Championship being rescheduled for next summer.

Before TV times have been announced, the season start date is on Saturday, September 12, 2020 and the campaign will conclude on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

The winter break has been scrapped to deal with the delayed start, while there will be six midweek rounds across the 38 gameweeks.

When will the new fixtures be announced?

It was initially anticipated that the fixtures for the new Premier League season would be released on Friday morning (August 21).

However, they will actually be made public at 9am BST on Thursday instead, with the EFL following the next day.

How about the FA Cup and Carabao Cup?

All replays have been scrapped in the 2020-21 FA Cup campaign to help with the fixture build-up.

The traditional two-legged EFL Cup semi-final will now also be just one leg, while the first four rounds of the competition will take place across consecutive weeks.
