Aston Villa 0-0 Arsenal

Paul Lambert: "I thought we were worthy of it. We played really well, had some decent chances and the effort was terrific. It's early days for our back four but I thought they were excellent. They can compete, and the front three are a handful. It's been a really tough three games against United, City and Arsenal. The performances have been really high apart from against City. Now we have a totally different run (against Reading, Southampton and QPR)."

Arsene Wenger (on replacing Olivier Giroud with Francis Coquelin): "I do my job and do my best for the club. I leave it to you to judge. I try to be as good as I can be. Is it hurtful? Look, I have managed for 30 years at the top level and I have to convince you I can manage the team? You can discuss every substitution. You think what you want. I do my job and I let people judge it. I do that every day and I do my best every day. I know why I do it. What is the thinking behind the substitution? I will not explain every decision I make, you judge the game for the papers and I sit here and explain to you our game. You are all great managers! I read the newspapers every day and I can tell you that you are always great managers!"

Everton 1-1 Norwich City

David Moyes: "I thought we played well for 25-30 minutes. We started well and controlled the game. Norwich grew into the game, give them credit, they had one or two opportunities. I thought we had got through the spell and we probably looked more likely to make it 2-0 than for them to equalise. But they did and that was it. We came away with a point."

Chris Hughton: "I thought we (deserved a point). Over the 90 minutes we had a long time to get back in the game. From our standards of late, we conceded a very soft goal and in that first half we didn't keep the ball well enough. Everton were the better team over that first 45 minutes. But when you are 1-0 down, you have to chase it and ask a little bit more of the players. I think we got that. I thought we responded really well. We showed great character. I don't think there was masses in it. It was quite a tight affair."

Manchester United 3-1 Queens Park Rangers

Sir Alex Ferguson: "Everyone is delighted. It has been a long road back for (Darren Fletcher). It is the first time he has played twice in one week. He didn't let us down again. He never does. It is lovely to have him back like that."

Mark Bowen: "I have not spoken to Harry and he has not spoken to the players. It has been difficult. Football is an emotive game and yesterday was a desperate day. Mark is my friend. I just said I would prepare the team to give everything it has got."

Stoke City 1-0 Fulham

Tony Pulis: "I'm really disappointed we have not won the game by more goals. Even just looking at the first half, if you look at the chances, Robert has missed a point-blank header from a corner and Ryan hits the bar when he is almost under the goal. There were some great opportunities and in the second half we had more. Then in the last few minutes, you are starting to scramble. We had so many chances and you get a little bit uptight because you know one mistake could have cost us the game - a game that we should have been out of sight in."

Martin Jol: "In the second half we did better - in the first half it was exactly the same as it is for most of the teams here and probably how it was for us last year. We couldn't get out of our half. We still wanted to play but it was difficult and then you get the long balls and they close you down, pressurise you, play their style. It was not easy for us - we play a different style."

Sunderland 2-4 West Bromwich Albion

Martin O’Neill: "Simon (Mignolet) has been fantastic for us, absolutely fantastic. He is entitled to something like that now and again. It's absolutely and utterly out of character. It just slipped out. He has been terrific for us. I think there's a lot to take out of the match, a lot to take out of it. We have been beaten, but we look as if we can maybe get a goal again now, which is very encouraging. We have a big game on Tuesday night and we will try to get ourselves prepared for that."

Steve Clarke: "All I know is up until now, we have done very well. We have had a lot of plaudits and the players deserve it because so far, we have been a really good team. But you don't get carried away in the Premier League. We are still this side of Christmas, there are a lot of games to be played, a lot of points to be fought for. Our focus is on Wednesday night, that's as far ahead as we look."

Wigan Athletic 3-2 Reading

Roberto Martinez: "The role Jordi (Gomez) had to play today was as unfair as you're going to get. Because he missed the first two or three passes, all of a sudden the crowd let him know. I've seen it so many times and it's very difficult to compose yourself, and it would have been all too easy for him to hide and look away from the challenge. But that's not Jordi at all. Nobody deserved a hat-trick more today than him. The crowd were too vocal against him and I hope that today they realise that the only thing Jordi does is give his life for Wigan Athletic and to win football games. I hope we all realise that and he gets a bit of warmth the next time he's on the pitch."

Brian McDermott: "I thought we deserved a point, and I thought it was the least we were going to get. I think if the referee had given the penalty on Jay Tabb we would have gone on to win the game. Someone of Howard Webb's experience and quality, you would have expected him to get that one right. When you're 2-2 in the 92nd minute and we've got the ball, you've got to make sure you see the game out. If you have to take a point in this league then take it and move on. We have to learn quickly from that. We've seen out the last couple of games really well but unfortunately we haven't seen this one out."
