Premier League table 2021/22: Latest standings, fixtures, results for gameweek 13 - Man City cut Chelsea lead

Chelsea’s lead at the top of the Premier League is down to one point after they were held at home by Manchester United on Sunday.

Manchester City closed the gap on the Blues by beating West Ham earlier in the day.

Liverpool are a point further back after they thrashed Southampton on Saturday, meaning the top three are separated by just two points after gameweek 13.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Brentford beat Everton 1-0 and Leicester won 4-2 against Watford.

Tottenham’s match against Burnley on Sunday was postponed due to adverse weather conditions at Turf Moor.

Arsenal kicked off a big weekend of Premier League action with a win in the lunchtime visit of Newcastle on Saturday.

A win for Mikel Arteta’s side pushed them clear of a crowded chasing pack in the race for European football, with the Gunners fifth and a point ahead of Wolves, who drew with Norwich later on Saturday.

The 3pm kick-offs also Steven Gerrard take his Aston Villa side on the road for the first time, winning at Crystal Palace. Brighton drew at home with Leeds in the Saturday evening match-up.
