Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident of completing one more transfer on deadline day, though he confirmed it will not be Julian Draxler.

At the club’s Friday press conference, Wenger said the Gunners are confident of tying up cover for Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey after recent injury woes.

Wenger confirmed in the same presser that Ramsey will miss as much as six weeks of action, and multiple reports suggest Sweden international Kim Kallstrom is his prime target before the window closes.

He will not, however, be recruiting Schalke’s exciting prospect Draxler, at least not until the summer.

"Draxler deal is not active," he said. "Anti-climax? I don't know what a climax is. There is always hope. It is superficial and artificial.

"[The] Draxler situation has been created by the newspapers, not by me. Nothing is happening on that front. He will stay at Schalke."
