Gloucester have been awarded a 20-0 win over Worcester for the Premiership match cancelled by the Warriors last month.

Worcester said at the time that a combination of Covid cases, injuries and illness had left them unable to field a suitably-qualified front-row in order to fulfil the fixture. The combined tally of unavailable players was claimed to be 36.

Worcester also said they had originally offered to replay the game and subsequently drafted in four players on loan from Championship club Hartpury for their following match.

But Sport Resolution UK, who had been asked to arbitrate by Premiership Rugby, have decided to award the game as a 20-0 bonus-point win to Gloucester.

“Warriors respect the process and decision made by the independent panel convened by Sports Resolutions,” read a short Worcester statement.

“We shall await publication of the full reasoned decision before making further comment.”
