PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: First Baptist defeats Georgetown-Ridge Farm

Feb. 2—GEORGETOWN — The First Baptist boys basketball team not only picked up a win, but also a milestone on Friday.

Jeremiah Watson scored his 1,000th point as the Knights beat Georgetown Ridge Farm 65-40.

Josiah Watson had 23 points to lead First Baptist, who had a 42-21 halftime lead, while Jeremiah Watson and Eli Epling each had 16.

JJ Hall led the Buffaloes with 10 points, while Deven Vice had nine, Landon Heck had six and Jase Latoz added five.

The Buffaloes will take on Hoopeston Area on Tuesday.
