Prince Andrew has been seen in a rare Instagram post - as his wife Sarah Ferguson praised their “united” family.

The Duke of York, 60, stepped back from public royal duties in November last year, after a disastrous interview in which he said he did not regret his friendship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The duke and Epstein were friends for several years, and the duke spent time at Epstein’s New York home after the financier served jail time for sexual offences.

In a post on Instagram, his former wife shared a family snap with him and their daughters to mark international family day.

She wrote: “I am so proud of our united loving family.”

Andrew and Sarah, 60, have two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. It’s not clear when the picture of the four was taken, but it has appeared from other posts that Eugenie and her husband Jack are with her parents during lockdown.

The Instagram post came Virginia Giuffre, who has accused the duke of having sex with her on three separate occasions, including when she was 17, issued a warning to Epstein’s associates.

Giuffre, 36, claims she was trafficked by Epstein. She appears in a new Netflix series Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, which explores how he used his wealth and power to carry out his abuse.

She declares at the end of the trailer:  “The monsters are still out there. You took our freedom, now we’re going to take yours.”

Andrew denies all allegations against him.

He has faced repeated calls to talk to the FBI and US prosecutors still investigating Epstein.

The duke is also embroiled in a legal dispute over an alleged £6.7m unpaid bill for his Swiss skiing chalet.

He and Sarah reportedly bought the seven-bedroom holiday home in the ski resort of Verbier for £18.3m in 2014 but allegedly failed to pay off a chunk of the total sum by a deadline of December 2019.

French-language daily newspaper Le Temps said as a consequence, legal proceedings have been issued through law firm Etude du Ritz.

Though rarely seen in public, Andrew appeared on Sarah’s assistant Antonia Marshall’s Instagram in mid-April as the pair packed bags for Thames hospice residents.

Before that, he accompanied the Queen to church in Sandringham on the first Sunday after she agreed details of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s transition out of being senior royals.
