Harrell, who is from North Carolina, made his fiancée a promise last year to host their dream wedding. Now he can fulfill that promise after winning $150,000 from a lottery scratch-off, the North Carolina Education Lottery said in a press release.

Harrell purchased the $5 Super Loteria winning ticket from a Circle K gas station in Cary, about 12 miles from Raleigh, according to the state lottery. He said he's "still trying to process" winning the big bucks.

"If I went the other direction and didn't get gas there, I wouldn't have won," Harrell told lottery officials.

Harrell met his significant other in May two years ago and vowed that he would give her a huge celebration for their nuptials, per the press release.

"We are looking at parks all around the area," he said, according to the press release. "It will be a big family celebration."

"May has definitely been good for us," he added.

He arrived at lottery headquarters last week and left with $106,876 after taxes.

Earlier this year, a Maryland couple who have been married for 58 years said that they can finally go on their honeymoon after winning $50,000 from a $5 scratch-off.
