Proteas urged to use 'best T20 hitters' De Villiers, Miller early to win matches

Johannesburg, Mar 19 (ANI): The coach of domestic South African side Sunfoil Dolphins has hailed batsmen AB de Villiers and David Miller as the squad's best Twenty20 hitters as the team prepares for the World Twenty20. De Villiers was introduced at No 5 in the third T20-international against Australia at SuperSport Park in Centurion, while Miller walked in at No 6. According to Sport24, however, Lance Klusener believes De Villiers should bat at No 3 and Miller as soon as possible after the power play as power hitters should be introduced early in Bangladesh, where there is generally not much seam movement during the power play overs. Klusener further said that the most boundaries will be hit during the power play while the ball is hard and the seam bowlers are in operation, adding that in the latter part of the innings when the seam bowlers are back on, there will be another series of boundaries. Klusener also said that the batting order should be then shuffled to introduce the best players of spin in the middle overs when the slow bowlers will be used, adding that De Villiers should be used at No.3 so that he can face the bulk of the deliveries while Miller can win games if he is introduced earlier.
