PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi has confirmed that they are among the clubs interested in signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund next year.
Bellingham is going to be talked about a lot in the coming months.
Dortmund may be rubbing their hands together at the thought of PSG joining a growing list of clubs interested in their prized asset.
The midfielder is currently shining for England at the World Cup in Qatar and he has been one of the tournament’s standout performers.
The 19-year-old has a long career ahead of him and he has already announced himself on the world stage with his showings for club and country.
It is expected that he will leave Dortmund next summer. Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are said to be in the running to sign him.
Recent reports suggest that he could cost clubs as much as £130m, but if is current form keeps up, this figure will only increase in the coming months.
Dortmund will no doubt be hoping that there is a bidding war for Bellingham, and now PSG owner Al-Khelaifi has admitted that they would love to sign him.
“England (are) lucky to have him, to be honest. He’s one of the best players in the tournament,” Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports.
“Amazing — his first World Cup. He’s calm and relaxed, confident — amazing.
“Everybody wants him, I’m not going to hide it.
“He’s at his club, and (we have) respect, so if we want to talk to him we’ll talk to the club first.”
Bellingham was instrumental in England’s 3-0 win over Senegal on Sunday. This earned them a quarter-final tie with World Cup holders France.
Ahead of this massive game, the teenager has insisted that he is going to be “up for it”.
“I think when you’ve got the dog, you’re just born with it, really,” he said.
“The way I was raised in football, you had to have that dog in you a little bit and I go into the games knowing every game’s a war and you got to be up for it. I think that’s something I have.
“There was a foul (in the Senegal game) that I didn’t think was a foul, I kind of held onto the ball and moved up, me and the lad were both just staring at each other for a minute straight and I just think, ‘don’t be the one that loses’.
“I feel like off the pitch, I’m a nice guy but when I get onto the pitch, something kind of takes over me, to be honest, I feel like you’ve got no friends out there except the ones wearing the same kit.
“Anyone who is not wearing that, it’s, it’s kind of, no beef… but there is something that’s a little bit personal.”
